Hetherington, Paul Eaton

Paul Eaton Hetherington, of McCoy, was born on February 17, 1928, in Giles County to the late Floyd and Verna Johnston Hetherington. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Eloise Hetherington.

In December of 1963, he was married to the late Della Sheppard Hetherington. Paul departed this life on June 18, 2011, in Wilmington N.C. He is survived by his only son, Jonathan Paul Hetherington, of Wilmington, N.C. He also had many special friends during the last several years of his life: Donald and Michele Broome, William Dean Miller, and Maryann LaRue, just to name a few.

Paul lived most of his life in McCoy, Va. where he had many good friends. He spent the last six years in Wilmington, N.C. with his son. Paul was a life-long member of the Eggleston Masonic Lodge, AF and AM, No. 0309.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 20, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg, Va. with Masonic Rites at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
