Hester, Margaret Seaton

Margaret Seaton Hester, 83, of Dublin, died Wednesday, January 17, 2006. Born August 4, 1922 in Richmond, Va. she was the daughter of the late Josie Frizell Seaton and Herbert Seaton.

Mrs. Hester was a member of the Dublin United Methodist Church, a former Girl Scout Leader, a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star Pulaski and Dublin Chapters where she attained the position of Worthy Matron. She was also known by many as an accomplished seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Snead. She is survived by her husband of 63 years in marriage, Joseph Avery Hester of Dublin: one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph “Steve” and Sarah Hester of Dublin. Also survived by two grandchildren, Joey and Sam Hester of Dublin.

Funeral services will be held Thursday January 19, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Seagle Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday January 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, Va. Visiting will be at SEAGLES on Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated, but for those who wish, thay may make memorial contributions to the Dublin United Methodist Church.
