Helvey, Janice Oleen

Janice Oleen Helvey, 77, of Christiansburg and formerly of the Kimberling Section, Bland County, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born June 19, 1931, at Kimberling, Bland County, the daughter of the late Lorenza James and Emma Clara Morehead Helvey.

She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and had been attending some at Wesley Memorial UMC, Park UMC and Bethel UMC.

She is survived by one brother, James Donald Helvey, Christiansburg; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, with the Rev. Randolph Morris officiating. Burial in the Morning Star Cemetery, Bland. The visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time, 11 a.m.
