Helm, Rose Marie Long

Rose Marie Helm, age 82, of Peterstown, WV, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Heritage Hall in Rich Creek, VA. Born July 16, 1936, in Red Sulphur Springs, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Weldon and Nellie Gray Ballard Long.

Rose was a member of the Red Sulphur Springs Community Church and was a former employee of Celanese. She was a devoted homemaker and a loving mother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edwin Helm; her twin brother, Bobby Lee Long; and sister Oreleeda Faith Long. Survivors include two sons, James Ernest Helm of Fort Wayne, IN, and Ronald Deane Helm of Peterstown, WV; one sister, Ardella “Tootie” Louise Campbell and husband Ralph of Red Sulphur Springs, WV; three brothers, Cecil Long and wife Linda of Red Sulphur Springs, WV, Fairley Long and wife Bernice of Peterstown, WV, and John Long and wife Ethel of Dry Pond, WV; one sister-in-law, Julia Light and husband Buddy of Marie, WV.

Graveside services and burial will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the Red Sulphur Springs Community Church Cemetery in Red Sulphur Springs, WV, with Rev. Steve Howdock officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Tuesday at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV.
