Hedrick, Valerie Perdue

Valerie Perdue Hedrick of Narrows, VA passed away Monday, December 1, 2008 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, Pearisburg, VA after a short battle with cancer. Born, April 27, 1973 she was the daughter of the late Mary Ann Meadows of Willowton, WV.

She was employed at the Giles Adult Day Care Center and was a former employee of Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital. She attended the Evangelistic Holiness Chapel in Pembroke.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ernest Meadows and an aunt, Frances Reed. Survivors include her husband, Phillip Hedrick, a son Wesley and a daughter, Sydni all at home. A Granny, Frances Meadows of Willowton, WV who raised her, an Uncle, Dwight Reed of Elgood, WV and Cousins; Jennifer and Baleigh Grimmett and Matthew and Wyatt Reed.

Services will be Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown, WV with Rev. Richard Midkiff officiating. Burial will follow in the Peterstown Cemetery, Rich Creek, VA. Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the funeral home. Romney Smith, Ken Sprouse, Claude McClung, Matthew and Carol Komelski and Hank Thomas will serve as Pallbearers.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Ballard Christian School, HC 77 Box 106, Ballard, WV, 24918.
