John Donald Heckert Jr., 52, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at his home. He was born in Sunbury, Pa., on May 8,1954 to the late John Donald, Sr. and Catherine Mary Heckert. He is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Karen E. and Doug Leland of Harpswell, Maine, Elaine M. Ritter of Yarmouth, Maine; niece, Heidi Leland of Brunswick, Maine; nephew, Dennis Long, Jr. of Sunbury, Pa.

Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kelly Sisson officiating. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va.
