Sei’ne Morgan Heasley, 34, of Christiansburg, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021. On October 5, 2007, Sei’ne went on his first date with a girl he met online. Little did he know that this girl, Ashley, would be his lifelong love.

What was supposed to be a three-hour date at the Sinkland Farm Pumpkin Festival turned into an all-day affair, moving from the pumpkin festival to the mall, to the movies, to the toy section of Target where they played with the toy light sabers until somebody asked them to leave. They ended the date with a shy 3 AM kiss outside of his apartment, and in that moment, Sei’ne knew that he was in love.

From that moment on, Sei’ne and Ashley were inseparable. He had lost his mother, Faye Maureen Heasley, at the age of 15, and without a lot of other immediate family, Ashley’s family became his. He was a patient computer teacher to his mother-in-law, Deana Alderman, and an eager student to his father-in-law Tommy Alderman when working on Sei’ne’s often temperamental vehicles.

Sei’ne worked at Harbor Freight Tools for eight years, accepting the position of Assistant Manager of the Harbor Freight in Salem in 2018. When he wasn’t working, Sei’ne was an imaginative storyteller, an avid player of D&D and an amazing writer. He also loved animals, especially his dogs, Jessie and Jack-Jack, and it wasn’t unusual for his wife to have to talk him out of bringing even more pets into their Vickers Switch Home.

He was a giving friend, at times perhaps too giving, and always strived to make everyone in the room feel included. He had no qualms playing the fool if it would make somebody smile, especially his wife. He was a good man, a rare type of man, gentle and thoughtful, that won’t be found again anytime soon.

We love you, Sei’ne. You might not have been dealt the best of hands in life, but we are so glad that you finally found your home. Thanks for the adventure.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be conducted on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the Huffville Cemetery, Floyd, VA, with Pastor Leon Alley officiating.
