Ada Salmons Hazelwood, 92, loving mother and grandmother, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 10, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Hazelwood; stepdaughter and spouse, Virginia H. and Olen Belcher; son-in-law, Edward Moran; and grandson, Carlos S. Moran.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Flora and John Phillips of Bluefield, W.Va., Catherine Jean Moran and special friend, Willard Dulaney, of Floyd, Frances and Bob Thompson of Deland, Fla.; son, Calvin Hazelwood, of Roanoke, Va.; grandchildren, Steve Phillips and wife, Carrie, Darrell Phillips, Gerald Moran and wife, Karen, Marc Moran and wife, Robin, Robert Thompson and wife, Vera, Robinette French and husband, Jeff, Richard Thompson, Travis Thompson and wife, Elizabeth, and Brian Hazelwood and wife, Carla; step-grandchildren, Patricia Mullins and husband, Gerald, Michael Belcher, and Ronald Belcher and wife, Ada; thirteen great-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; three step great great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, Cheryl Huff and Ada Belcher.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Gardner Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Arrangements by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd.
