Hayter, Annie Hixson

Annie Ruth Hixson Hayter, 90, of Pulaski, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the Veterans Hospital, Salem, Va. Born in Big Stone Gap, Va., December 16, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Sherman William and Sadie Hixson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Y. Hayter and two brothers. She was a member to the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pulaski.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Robert Hinkley of Riner; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Victoria Hayter of Warminster, Pa.; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with the Pastor Terrie Sternberg officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 1184 of Pulaski. The Family will receive friends at Stevens Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
