Haynes, Sr., Roy Richard

He retired as the owner and operator of H and U Automotive. Mr. Haynes was a founding member of the Cana Rescue Squad. He always had a smile and was helpful to everyone throughout the community. Mr. Haynes is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Haynes of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Lisa Hall Haynes of Mount Airy; two adored grandsons, Nolan Richard Haynes and Leeman Jacob Haynes, both of Mount Airy; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ina Haynes of Cana, VA, and Judy and Mike Flinchum of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by his wife, Ola Utt Haynes; a sister, Clara Hall; and four brothers, Charlie Haynes, Joe Haynes, J.R. “Speedy” Haynes, and Danny Haynes. The family will receive friends at the home on Sunday, May 29, 2011, from 1:00 until 4:00 PM. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
