Dorothy Hall Haymore, 80, of Pulaski, died Sunday morning, June 8, 2008, in the New River Valley Medical Center.

She was born May 17, 1928, in Pulaski and was the daughter of the late Bessie Folden Hall and Robert Hall. Dorothy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, was active in the local bloodmobiles, was active with the Pulaski Daily Bread, and was a graduate of the Pulaski High School Class of 1947.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Coltrane; and two brothers, Conley J. Hall and William A. “Bill” Hall.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Charles “Charlie” Lester Haymore, of Pulaski; a son, Joe Haymore and his wife, Brenda, of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister, Evelyn Hall Aust, of Pulaski; a brother, R.J. Hall and his wife, Sharon, of Roanoke; a granddaughter, Molly Haymore, of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at the First Presbyterian Church, Pulaski, with the Rev. Jeff Kackley officiating. Interment will follow in Thornspring Cemetery. Visiting will be anytime on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, after 4 p.m. at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m.
