Hayes, Mary Ruth Cumbee

Mary Ruth Hayes, 71 of Dublin, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at her residence. She was born on January 15, 1944 in Michigan City, Indiana, and was the daughter of the late Rhodie Margaret Perry Cumbee and Archie Seymore Cumbee. In addition to her parents, Hayes, Mary Ruth03092015she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Wayne Hayes, and a sister, Virginia Lambert.

She is survived by a son, William “Billy” Hayes of Christiansburg; a daughter, Tammy Dauplaise and her husband Richard of Arkansas; four brothers, Raleigh “Buddy” Cumbee and his wife Virginia of Pennsylvania, William “David” Cumbee and his wife Charlotte of Pennsylvania, William “Pete” Cumbee and his wife Laurie of Pennsylvania, and Charlie Cumbee and his wife Tippi of Pennsylvania. two sisters, Thelma “Jean” Stultz and her husband Dave of Pennsylvania, and Marie Linkous of Pulaski. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Newbern Cemetery.
