Hawthorne, Eleanor Louise

Eleanor Louise Hawthorne, born August 30, 1933, went to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, after a long battle with Alzheimers.

She was born in Damascus, Virginia, to the late Oren and Minnie Campbell. She was preceded in death by her son, James Hawthorne; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers. She is survived by her husband, Mac Hawthorne; brother, Robert Campbell; daughters, Sandra Joines, Linda Fuller, Pamela Reynolds, and Victoria Sizemore. Louise is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Louise was a devoted Christian and a member of Seneca Baptist Church. She enjoyed hiking, fishing, and spending time with her family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Good Samaritan Hospice New River Valley for the love and support over the past 2 years. An extra special thank you to Denise Short who has become part of our family.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at Seneca Baptist Church on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Good Samaritan New River Valley, 1160 Moose Drive NW, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
