Hawks, Tony Lee

Tony Lee Hawks, age 51, left this earth too soon on Sunday, July 2, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father Russell Lee Hawks and grandparents John and Ruth Hawks and Junior Mann.

If you were privileged enough to know Tony, you know there were a few things that he enjoyed with a passion. He loved to play golf and poker with his friends. He loved bragging on his girls and their accomplishments. He loved movies, a good steak, the Pittsburgh Steelers, telling people with pride in his voice that he was from WV, Classic Rock, a chill night on the couch with his wife, family adventures – A.I.S (if you know, you know), and he fiercely loved his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his best friend and soulmate, Ellen Hawks; the light of his life, his two children, Alex Hawks (Brad Simpkins) and Sydney Hawks; his mother, Judith Hawks; brother, Kevin Hawks; grandmother, Ruth Pence (Kenneth Pence); and many family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV. The family will receive visitors from 12:00PM until time of the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Additionally, a celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Oak Ridge Country Club in Oak Ridge, TN.
