Havens, Dewey Edward

Dewey Edward Havens (Bubba Lee Savage), 59, of Pearisburg and Lawrenceville, Ga., passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008.

Mr. Havens was born on July 21, 1948 in Pearisburg, Va. and was a son of the late Dewey Edward Havens, Sr. and Marie Kelley Havens. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran with the 82nd Airborne, a retired employee of BellSouth in Atlanta, Ga., a member of the Grand Lodge of Georgia A. F. & A.M., a member of the Princeton Moose Lodge # 1521, and a member of the Dekalb County Bass Club.

Besides his mother, he is survived by two sons, Shane Havens and fiance, Jennifer, of Ellenwood, Ga., Randy Havens of Georgia; one sister, Lisa Quesenberry and husband, Rusty, of Pearisburg; four brothers and sisters-in-law, James Albert and Betty Jo Havens of Patrick Springs, VA., William David (Spider) and Sue Havens of Narrows, Charles Wayne and Debbie Havens of Pearisburg, Richard and Faye Perdue of Pearisburg; six nieces; one nephew; nine great-nieces and nephews and numerous aunts and uncles.

Memorial funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.givensfuneralhome.com.
