Hatcher, Terrel Ward

Terrel Ward Hatcher, 80, of Shawsville, died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at the VA Medical Center, Salem. He was born in Beaver, W.Va., on August 27, 1928, to the late Beatrice and Esther Conner Hatcher. He was preceded in death by his sons, Stanley W. Hatcher and Jerry Hatcher.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Kathy Stover, of Shawsville; three daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Keith Mize, of Salem, Cheryl Clark, of Christiansburg, and Pam Hatcher, of Blacksburg; sons and daughter-in -law, Donnie Hatcher, of Shawsville, Raymond Hatcher and Donna, of Radford, Dennis and Lisa Hatcher, of Shawsville, Ronnie Clark, of Radford; daughter-in-law, Cathy Hatcher, of Rogers; sister, Pauline Hatcher, of Shawsville; three brothers, Tracy Hatcher and wife, Ida, of Princeton, W.Va., Joe Hatcher and wife, Betty, of Elliston, and James Hatcher and, wife Diane, of Christiansburg; eight grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and the extended family of Stover’s.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Jarrells and the Rev. Wallace Yopp officiating. Interment will follow in the Den Hill Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Tuesday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
