Hartman, Franklin Donald

Franklin Donald Hartman, 75, of Elliston, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at his home.

Franklin was a longtime member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 100. He also served in the United States Army in the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Hartman; one step daughter; 11 other children; and many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at The Horne Funeral Home. Per his request, Mr. Hartman will be cremated following the visitation.

The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to The Shawsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 14, Shawsville, Va. 24162. The Hartman family is being served by Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Christiansburg, Va.
