Harry, Herman Boyd

Herman “Butch” Boyd Harry, age 83, of Pearisburg, VA, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born April 1, 1941, at Waiteville, WV, he was the son of the late Herman Harry and Irene Lawson Harry.

Butch was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead, VA. He enjoyed working and worked for many years as a carpenter and was known for making beautiful furniture. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Harry; sister-in-law, Patty Greene; and brothers-in-law, Wandell Greene, Douglas McCroskey, and Dale Porterfield.

Butch is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Charlotte Bradley Harry; sisters, Joy Harry of Union, WV, and Shelby Porterfield of Covington, VA; aunt, Shirley Jones; uncle, Larry Harry; and several special cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with Pastors Terry Easter and Tom Maurer officiating. Burial will follow at the Bradley Cemetery in Lindside, WV.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
