Harrison, Beulah Linkous Duncan
Beulah Linkous Duncan Harrison, 88, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on February 5, 2011. She was born in Merrimac, Va. on May 28, 1922, to James Lee (Jimmy) and Clementine Sheppard Linkous. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Curtis Duncan; her second husband, Ervin Harrison; two brothers, H. Lee Linkous and William Taylor Linkous; and sister-in-law, Vera Linkous. She is survived by a daughter and spouse, Carol and Jim Sell, Vinton, Va.; grandchildren, Cory Sell, Arlington, Va., and Randall Sell and wife, Alicia, Salem, Va.; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Colin, and Olivia Sell; sisters-in-law, Hazel Linkous, Blacksburg, Va., Frankie Brown, Roanoke, Va., and Emma Lou Reed, Christiansburg, Va.; nieces and nephews and spouses, Barbara and Carl Early, Christiansburg, Va., Sam and Peggy Linkous, Gary and Peggy Linkous, Eva and Jimmy Woolwine, and Larry Linkous, all of Blacksburg, Va., Leon and Diane Linkous, Riner, Va., Don and Gayle Linkous, Newport, Va.; great-nieces and nephews, Jennifer Scott, Melissa Sperka, Mark Early, Darrell Early, Taylor Linkous, Kelsey Linkous, David Woolwine, Mike Woolwine, Karen Johnson, Todd Linkous, Stephen Linkous, Denise Linkenhoker, Noah Shanks; and numerous great-greatnieces and nephews and cousins; special caretakers, Diane Bain, Donna Church, Debbie Snyder and Ruth Moore. Family will receive friends on Sunday evening between 6 and 8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home. Funeral service will be in the McCoy Funeral Chapel on Monday, February 7, 2011, at 11 a.m. with interment at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, Va. with the Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Mrs. Harrison worked at Imperial Reading in Christiansburg and retired from Virginia Tech. Beulah, who never forgot a family birthday or a name, is now at peace.
