Harrison, Alma Altizer

Alma Altizer Harrison, 84, of Radford, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Harrison Jr.; her parents, Ballard and Addie Dickerson Altizer; four brothers; and two sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Daniel Anderson; her son, Doug Harrison; grandchildren, Chris Anderson and wife, Jo Anne, and Michael Anderson; great-grandchildren, Aaron Anderson and Elijah Anderson; sisters-in-law, Jane Bowen, Margaret Whitlock, and Ruby Austin; and brother-in-law, Marvin Nolan. Several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. Alma loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She also enjoyed cooking and gardening.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 23, 2013, from noon until 1:45 p.m. at DeVilbiss Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. at Sunrise Burial Park with Pastor Bobby Lorton officiating. Arrangements by DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford, Va., 540-639-2422.
