Sylvia Harris, a longtime employee of the Blue Ridge Overall Factory and the Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans.

Sylvia was the sister of the late Guy Harris and Howard Harris. She is survived by sisters, Ora Linkous and Veldia Rivera. Sylvia was the loving aunt of Ronnie Simmons, Jovita Harris-Hosey, Betty Popkin-Murphy, Glenn Harris, Sandra Harris-Banes, Steven Harris and Michael Popkin. A special cousin, Nellie Hodge also survives her.

There will be a graveside funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2007 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
