Harris, Evelyn Virginia Bourne

Evelyn Virginia Bourne Harris, 87, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009, at her home in Radford. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Radford and retired customer service representative with Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Selden H. (Buck) Harris; four sisters, Lucille B. Horne, Edith Bourne Cox, Ruth Bourne Warrick and Edna Bourne Blair; and a brother, Dr. George Bourne.

Survivors include three sons, Selden H. Harris III, of Brandenburg, Ky., Edgar B. Harris, of WinstonSalem, N.C., and Charles Brownie Harris, of Wilmington, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2009, at 2 p.m. at The Presbyterian Church of Radford with the Rev. David Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park, in Radford.
