Harris, Elmora June Wade

Elnora June Wade Harris, 85, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

She was born in Floyd County, Virginia on November 7, 1921 to the late Oliver Dalton and Hattie Alderman Wade and was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Mo” Odell Harris, and a sister Frances Bolen, and two brothers, Max Wade and Maurice Wade.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bill Irvin, of Petersburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald S. And Brenda Harris, of Blacksburg, David W. and Rita Harris, of Sunnyside; one sister Ruby McCrary, of Floyd; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Mary Wade, of Floyd, Danny and Trudy Wade, of Salem; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 25, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Don Peters officiating. Interment will follow in the Topeco Cemetery, Floyd. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Sunday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, Va.
