Charles Emory Harris, 74, of Macon, Ga., passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2007. Mr. Harris was born in Floyd County, Va. on August 18, 1932 to the late Harry Bolen and Gladys Mayberry Harris. He is preceded in death by a sister, Anna Mae Harris; and two brothers, Harry B. Harris Jr. and Troy Harris.

Mr. Harris is retired owner and president of Kwickleen Products. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and the Hudson Tabor Sunday School Class. He was a deacon and former choir member. Mr. Harris enjoyed gardening and manicuring a beautiful lawn and was an avid baseball fan and player. He was loved and cherished by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 + years, Nancy C. Harris; daughters, Debra (Riley) Bennett of Macon, Donna (Bobby) Myrick of Macon, and Elizabeth (Jeff) Neisler of Macon; six grandchildren, Greggory Phillips of Macon, Carla (Alex) Vento of Macon, Nikki Flewellyn of Warner Robins, Sophia (Jason) Everson of Shelbyville, Ky., Mary Elizabeth Neisler of Macon and Caroline Grace Neisler of Macon; five great-grandsons, Jason, Blake, Dustin Hoyt, Tyler and Andrew Riley; brothers, Elmer (Christine) Harris of Va., Gale (Sharon) Harris of Va., and Dale (Barbara) Harris of Va.; sister-in-laws, Sallie Harris and Avis Harris of Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

The Harris family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Heartland Hospice and Dr. Kenneth Deaton and his staff.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 3 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Hubert Wheeler officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home or may be contacted at the residence of Jeff and Elizabeth Neisler. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon, GA 31210. Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of the arrangements.
