Harris, Charlene Lytton

Charlene Lytton Harris, 81, of Prices Fork, died Saturday, August 6, 2016, at English Meadows. She was born in Montgomery County, Va on December 11, 1934 to the late Robert Nelson and Cleo Estelle Clemens Lytton and was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kendall Harris Sr.; and one brother, Robert Arnold Lytton.

She was a lifelong member of St. Marks Lutheran Church and St. Michael Lutheran Church. She was a nurse for 25 years at Radford College and VPI & SU infirmary.She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Kendall Jr. and Anne Harris of Vicker, and Kevan Lynn and Cindy Harris of Longshop; sister, Mildred Russell of Altavista; brother and sister-in-law, Linwood and Rachael Lytton of Goldsboro,N.C.; grandchildren, Luke Allen Harris, Paul Kendall Harris III, Kyle Nelson Harris and wife, Diana, Beth Anne and Sean Leake; and special cousin, Jimmy and Judy Clemens.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at English Meadows, Community Care Solutions, and Carilion Hospice for their care and compassion.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the St. Michael Lutheran Church with Pastor John Wertz officiating. Interment will follow in the Snider Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive S.W. Blacksburg, Va 24060. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2308 Merrimac Rd. Blacksburg, Va 24060 or the Montgomery County Christmas Store, 30 W. Main St. Christiansburg, Va 24073.
