Harris, Annie Mae Johnston

Annie Mae Johnston Harris, 88, of Pearisburg, Va., passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010, at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Mrs. Harris was born on October 27, 1921, in Giles County and was a daughter of the late William W. Johnston and Nannie Lee Wilburn Harris. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Wilson Harris; and one son, William Lee Harris.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Trisha Aiken, of South Carolina, and Jason E. Harris, of Pearisburg; and four special great-grandchildren, Cory Fall, of Pearisburg, J.W. Harris, of Pearisburg, Caitlyn Falls, of Houston, Ohio, and Amanda Perkins, of Narrows, Va.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at the Thessalia United Methodist Church in Thessalia, Va., with the Rev. Jack Jenkins and Charles Henderson officiating with burial following in the Thessalia Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 1 to 2 p.m.
