Harris, Alma Lyons

Alma Lyons Harris, 84, of Pulaski, Va., went to her Heavenly home on Monday, September 10, 2007. She joins the following family members who preceded her in their homegoing with the Master, husband, Paul Harris; father, John Lyons; mother, Maggie Lyons Stewart; brothers, Donald Lyons and Hensel (Bud) Lyons; sisters, Hazel Lyons Cockerham and Louise Lyons McKee; stepfather, Rev. Charles Stewart; stepsisters, Naomi Stewart Huff and Nilda Stewart Hawkins.

Alma was a long-time member of the Pulaski First Pentecostal Holiness Church and dedicated to her faith in Christ and her family and friends. You will be missed dear, sweet lady.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Lanny M. and Vanona A. Harris of Pulaski; grandson and wife, Mark and Faith Harris of Oklahoma City, Okla.; great-grandsons, Jared and Jordy Harris; stepbrother, Charles W. Stewart of Radford; sister-in-law, Pauline Lyons of Pulaski; four nieces; and five nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the First Pentecostal Holiness Church (Family Worship Center), Memorial Drive, Pulaski, with the Rev. Dr. C.R. Conner officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visiting will be Wednesday evening, September 12, 2007 at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
