Patsy Morris Harrell, age 78, passed away peacefully January 27, 2021, due to complications from a stroke. She was born February 16, 1943, in Pulaski, Virginia to Raby Albert Morris and Hattie Duncan Morris.

Patsy loved her family. She had a deep love for life and shared this love with all those around her. She loved all our family gatherings with Christmas being her favorite. Her hands were rarely still as she loved crafting ceramic ornaments and other creative things. She loved to read as she would spend hours lost in a book.

For many years Patsy worked at Jefferson Mills in Pulaski and often spoke of her coworkers.

Anyone who know Patsy was touched by her kindness and mild temperament. She was truly a peacemaker and source of positivity.

Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Patsy is survived by her husband, Samuel Franklin Harrell; son, Samuel Franklin Harrell II; grandson, Nicolas Conner McGrady; sister, Joyce Harrell; nieces and nephews, Angie Harrell and Michael Parks, Scott and Stacy Arnett, Curtis and Carla Bland, and John and Kim Huggins. She is preceded in death by her brother Junior Morris and sister Peggy Morris. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Norris-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
