Harmon, Johnny Lloyd

Johnny Lloyd Harmon, 80 of Christiansburg, Va. passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Veterans Affair Medical Center in Salem, Va. Born in Christiansburg, Va., he was the son of the late Roy Walter Harmon and Blanche Haley Jones.

He was a retired veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam and Korea. He was a member of the DAV and retired from the PSA in Christiansburg, Va. Johnny was also a member of the Bible Holiness Church in Christiansburg, Va.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Scott Harmon; two brothers, Walter and Guy Harmon and two sisters, Ruby Shelor and Jean Whitt. Survivors include his wife, Rinske Harmon of the home; two daughters, Cindy Lee Webster of Christiansburg, Va. and Patty Lynn Clemons of Hansen, Mass.; one brother, Roscoe Harmon and wife Janie of Christiansburg, Va.; and two grandsons, Ben and Lee.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Bible Holiness Church located at 611 South Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Va. with the Pastor Dwayne Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg, Va. Friends may call Friday, January 24, 2014 between 6 and 8 p.m. at the Bible Holiness Church in Christiansburg, Va. Full military honors will be conducted by Fort Lee Military Funeral Honors Team of Fort Lee, Va.
