amem_fishermanPaul Daniel Harless, one month before his 52nd birthday, passed away Friday, June 17th. Paul was retired from the Radford Arsenal where he had worked for over 30 years.

Paul is survived by his sister, Debbie Harless-Mooty, her husband David and daughter Christy Mooty and his brother, Doug Harless, wife Angie, sons Brandon, Daniel and Adam Harless and special great-nephew Jake Harless as well as his special friends from work and Ms. Marla.

Paul enjoyed fishing and other outdoors activities and was a great animal lover. Paul lived life on his own terms- sometimes to the frustration of others – but he was true to himself and what he wanted to do!

Paul had many friends in Blacksburg where he lived his entire life including a recent move to Warm Hearth Village. Paul will be greatly missed by family and friends but has gone to join our mother and father in a better place.

Special thanks to his neighbors Mike and Steve and to Nancy, Robbie and Lisa and others who helped him so much at work as well as the many professionals from Carilion, the life-saving crew and Warm Hearth for their kindness and compassion. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 5:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel.
