Harless, Arthur Wayne

Arthur Wayne Harless, 60, of Max Meadows, Va., and formerly of Pearisburg, Va., departed this life Thursday morning, May 7, 2009, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Giles County on January 7, 1949, he was a son of the late Arthur Dunkley and Lillie Scott Harless.

He worked for many years at Pulaski Furniture and finally at TMD Friction. He was a die-hard Earnhart fan, a Redskin all the way, and a graduate of Giles High School, Class of 1970.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Debbie Collins Harless; his daughters, Tammy Riddle, of Dublin, Theresa Turpin and Jeff Hylton, of Pulaski, and Tina and Brian Chandler, of Dublin; his stepson, Tracey and Julie Collins, of Charlottesville; his sister, Linda Faye and Wallace Baker, of Ripplemead; his brother, David Allen and Phyllis Harless, of Dublin; his 11 grandchildren; and his one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be conducted 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Pearisburg Christ Fellowship on Wenonah Ave. with Pastor Greg Cox officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the services.
