Hare, Patricia Wimmer

Patricia Wimmer Hare, 80, of Amelia, Virginia, formerly of Giles County, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 6, 2021, after a valiant battle with illness. She was born in Narrows, Virginia, on October 14th, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Mason Howard Wimmer and Lora Harriet Ferguson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her grandmother Lora Janie Ferguson and her son Jeffrey Wayne Hare.

Graced with talents for music, growing flowers, storytelling, humor, and nurturing her adored animals, Patricia loved deeply and stood her ground in all things.

She is survived by her daughter Sherri Hare and son Anthony Hare—both of Amelia—as well as her daughter Deirdre Jacobson and son-in-law Neil of New York City; her brother Andy Wimmer and sister-in-law Gracie and her brother Bill Wimmer—all of Narrows, Virginia; and her friend Louise Stafford of Pearisburg, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 18th, 2021, at 1 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows, Virginia, with Pastor Rodney Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Chapel Saturday from 12 noon until just prior to the service.
