Hansen, Kathe P.

Kathe “Katie” P. Hansen August 18, 1925 – April 21, 2021 Katie was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on August 18, 1925. She married Merton Allen Hansen in 1953 and with him moved to his hometown of Greenville, Michigan. In 1972 she,”Mert,” and their daughter moved to Christiansburg, Virginia.

Katie was an accomplished bridge player, hospice volunteer and reader of scripture until her eyesight began failing her. She was able to continue her Bible studies with weekly visits from dear friends. Katie had a generous, spirited soul.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter, Toni Hansen, her granddaughter, Marinela Piccariello and great grandson, Harrison whom she adored.

The family wishes to acknowledge with gratitude everyone who enriched Katie’s life.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you read the Bible scripture Matthew 6:25-34, take time to reach out to others and love yourself.

There will be a Graveside Service at Sunset Cemetery near the flagpole on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 10 a.m.
