Hanks, James Frederick (Jim)

James Frederick (Jim) Hanks, of Dublin, Va., died on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, in Tampa, Fla., from a massive heart attack while at work. Jim was born on November 2, 1954, in Dublin, Va. He graduated from Dublin High School in 1973 and attended Wingate College. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Frances Hanks. He is survived by his stepmother, Sara Harris Hanks; son, Bronson and wife, Pam, and their children, Elise and Samantha; daughter, Amanda and husband, Kevin Ricketts, and their children, Andrew, Arianna, Kayla and Kasey Carter. A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010, from the Dublin Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeanette Tagg officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
