Handy, Willie Jed

Willie Jed Handy, age 44, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at his home in Narrows, VA. Born March 13, 1976, in Summers County, WV, he was the son of Leonard S. Handy, Jr. of Lindside, WV, and the late Sharon Hope Shultz.

Willie was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a beloved father, fiancé, son, brother, uncle, and nephew who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his father, survivors include his fiancé, Rachel Knight; daughter, Britney Epling of Narrows, VA; three brothers, Leonard S. “Dunnie” Handy III and wife Kandi of Bozoo, WV, Eric Kirt Handy, and Austin Keith Handy and wife Kristy, all of Peterstown, WV; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In keeping with Willie’s wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, February 12, 2021, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV.
