Benny Franklin Hancock, Sr., age 72, formerly of Draper, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at his home in Pulaski surrounded by his loving family. Born December 4, 1941 in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Buford Palmer Hancock and Maggie Mae Phillips Hancock. His Brother, Daniel “Pete” Hancock, and Sister, Velma Jane Winebarger also preceded him in death.

He was retired from Xaloy with 20 years of service as a machinist. He was veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving-

His loving wife of 46 years- Freda Bond Hancock- Pulaski.

Daughter- Rebecca H. Williams-Pulaski.

Son- Benny Franklin Hancock, Jr. and special friend, Trish Johnson and her children (like his grandchildren) Kandice and Harlee Johnson of Buena Vista, VA.,

Grandchildren- David Godwin, III and wife, Ashley, Devan Lee Davis, Sierra Nicole Hancock, and Suzanne Haley Hancock.

Brothers- Dallas “Mutt” Hancock & wife, Mary Ellen- Draper, Larry Hancock- Draper, David Hancock & wife, Phala- Pulaski, & Gary Hancock and wife, Sandra- Dobson, NC.

Sister- Diane Holdren- Roanoke.

Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m., February 10, 2014 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Mike Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Christian Church Cemetery, Draper with military honors conducted at the graveside by the Pulaski VFW post # 1184.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
