halsey_liesa_whitlowLiesa Whitlow Hoback Halsey, 42, of Yellow Sulfur Road, Christiansburg, Virginia died unexpectedly, Saturday, April 16, 2011 at her home. Born June 21, 1968 in Bluefield, she is the daughter of Aubrey and Julana Quesenberry Whitlow of Halls Ridge Road, near Princeton. Liesa was a graduate of Granite Christian Academy in Wytheville, Virginia. Liesa will be remembered for her warm smile and humor along with her love for animals. Liesa was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James (Jim) Aubrey and Clara Turner Whitlow and her maternal grandparents Thomas Boyd and Mildred Whittaker Quesenberry. She was also preceded in death by her stepson Garrett Halsey. Survivors include her husband, Charles Halsey of the home; her daughter, Krista Hoback of Wytheville; Krista’s father, David Hoback and her stepdaughter, Leah Halsey of Marion; her parents, Aubrey and Julana Whitlow; and her brother and sister-inlaw, A. J. and Stephanie Whitlow and their children Lane and Hailey of Cripple Creek. Liesa is also survived by her puppies which she loved very much. On Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. we will celebrate the Homegoing of Liesa Halsey from the Rich Creek First United Methodist Church, Rich Creek, VA with Pastor Doug Hyndrich officiating. Family and friends are invited for a time of gathering and sharing Monday evening from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Rich Creek First United Methodist Church, Rich Creek, VA.
