Hall, Sophia Cox Quesenberry
Sophia Mildred Cox Quesenberry Hall, 82, of the Snowville Community died on Sunday, July 22, 2007 when the Lord sent his angels to carry our precious mother home. She was born in Snowville on August 28, 1924 and was the daughter, of the late Raleigh Osborne Cox and Mettle Ella Hollandsworth Cox.
She was also preceded in death by her husbands, John A. Quesenberry and John W. Hall; a son-in-law, Rusty Edwards; sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and James Trail; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Viola Cox, Howard and Louise Cox, Quentin and Sybol Cox, J.C. Cox, Basil Cox, Claude and Virgie Tolliver, Earl and Lillie Quesenberry, and Vance Quesenberry.
She was a faithful, member of the New River Primitive Church in Snowville, Va.
Surviving are daughters and husbands, Brenda Edwards, Irene and Larry Clark, and Kathy and Rocky O’Dell; sisters and husband, Edith O’Dell and Loretta Hedge and Charles Viars; grandsons and wives, Dusty and Dee Dee Edwards, David and Melisa Edwards, Ross and Regina Clark, Travis Clark, Logan O’Dell, and Malachi O’Dell; granddaughter and husband, Angi and Ronald Covey; great-grandsons, Dillon and Wyatt Edwards, Dakota Edwards, Mason and Ryan Clark, Jacob Carter, and Grayson Covey; great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn Albert and Sadie Covey; sisters-in-law, Helen Quesenberry, Joan Cox, and Treva Cox; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Hurst, the Rev. Mike Coleman, the Rev. Bryan Wyke and Daniel O’Dell officiating. Burial will follow in the Page Cemetery, Snowville.
Visiting will be Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the NRV Carillon Hospice, 707 Randolph St., Suite 251, Radford, VA 24141. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
