Opal Hicks Hall, 89, of Draper, Va., died on Monday evening, December 6, 2010, in the Beulah House, Dublin, Va. She was born in Foster Falls, Wythe County, Va., on April 1, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Joseph Rogers Hicks and Bessie Carnell Hicks.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Foy McGill Hall; by a son, Ronnie Hall; and by brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Hall was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pulaski.

Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn Safewright and Sharon Hall; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Robin Hall; sister, Gladys Freeman Rosenbaum; grandchildren, Angela Wright, Alison Pollard, Amanda Marlowe, and 1st Sgt. Brian Safewright; and greatgrandchildren, Cailie Pollard and Abbie Pollard.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2010, from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be held on Friday at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from noon until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to The Beulah House, 4704 Caddell Lane, Dublin, Va. 24084.
