Mollissa Dowdy Hall, 74, of Radford, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007.

She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and a retired medical secretary having worked at St. Albans and Radford Community Hospitals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Kent and Lena Elizabeth Sowers Dowdy, a son, John Kent Hall, and sisters, Weeda Bradberry and Shelby Jean Dowdy.

Survivors include her husband, Garnet B. Hall, of Radford; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lee Hall of Owensboro, Ky.; grandsons, John William Hall and George Walter Hall; three sisters and brother-in-law Annie Bradberry of Leesburg, Fla., Betty Mae Waldrop of Alexandria and Faye and Stanley Smith of McCoy; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell and Fleta Dowdy, Jimmy and Sally Dowdy and Billy Kent and Janet Dowdy, all of Christiansburg.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church with Pastor Ric Wright and the Rev. Jerry Dowdy officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to either the Central UMC Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
