Lucelle Smith Hall, 75, of Radford, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 24, 2007 at her home after a long illness.

The daughter of the late Roosevelt and Mary East Smith she was also preceded in death by brothers, Jim, George, and Samuel Smith and Joe Hite, and sister, Madeline Thompson.

Left to cherish her memory is husband, Jimmy Hall; sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Button Hall, James Hall; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and C.L. Folden, Darlene and Allen Phillips, Lorrie Hall; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Sue Smith, Charles and Betty Smith, Bob and Connie Smith, John Henry Smith and Sally, Cotton Smith and Nora; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Fred White, Louise Long, Sally Harman; very special cousins, Danny Thompson, Frankie Duncan, Carl Shaver, Ferraba Proffitt and Brenda Marshall; a very dear niece, Cindy Chambers; two very dear loving extra sisters, Judy and Linda Young; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Carilion Hospice Services and especially nurses Sherry and Alta for all their help during her illness. Flowers are appreciated, but it was her request those wishing to make memorials in her memory make them to Fairview United Methodist Church, c/o Sue Folden, 4302 Graysontown Road, Radford, Va., 24141.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Monday at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. T. Michael Bond and the Rev. Glensanna Johnson. Per her request the body will be cremated following the services.
