Lionel R. (Roy) Hall Jr., 79, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009. He was born on June 9, 1930.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lionel Rangley Hall Sr. and Lucille Humphrey Hall; and brothers, Fred, Gene, Otis, and George.

He was retired Air Force, retired Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, and Las Vegas Commander (Ret.) Search and Rescue.

He is survived by his spouse, Tory; sons, Lionel R. Hall III and wife, Jen, of California, and Michael Hall, of Nevada; daughters, Kelly M. Light (Ray Alcorn), and Carrielyn Dulaney; beloved granddaughters, ToryLyn Floores, all of Christiansburg, Va., Amara Hall of California; sister, Louise Wirt, of Christiansburg, Va.; sisters-inlaw, Jo Hall of Florida, Janice Hall, of Christiansburg, Va., and Frances Hall, of Richmond, Va.; aunt, Sara Doerr, of Christiansburg, Va.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, loving neighbors, and friends.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Kanney officiating.
