Brainard William Hall, 88, of Christiansburg, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006.

He was a World War II Veteran having proudly served in the U.S. Army for more than eight years. He was a charter member of Faith Christian Church and retired from G. E. with 26 years of service. He was the son of the late Leonard Hamlin and Josie Price Hall.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 50 years, Bertie Kate Hall; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra H. and Larry Knowles of Riner, Carol Sue and Tim Acord of Floyd, Shirley and Dick Helvey of Sophia, N.C., Kay and Jack Reynolds of Winter Garden, Fla.; grandchildren, Richard Woolwine, Teresa Woolwine, Vicki Wall, Rhonda Flowers, Andrew Hodge, Justin Hodge, Katie Acord, Micah Acord, Tina Williams, Garry Helvey, Nicole Wolfrey, Shane Reynolds; 18 greatgrandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren; brother, Lloyd Hall of Christiansburg; and sister, Wanna Thomas of Blacksburg.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2006 at the Faith Christian Church in Christiansburg with Pastor Clyde George officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites by VFW Post #7854. The Hall Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, 382-2612.
