Haley, Claude Wayne
Claude Wayne Haley (CW), 73, of Christiansburg, VA went to heaven on October 17, 2023. He was born May 25, 1950, in Christiansburg, VA to the late Claude E. and Thelma Dickerson Haley.
Wayne loved to hunt and fish, but most of all he loved “picking his banjo” and his family. He loved the Lord with all of his heart and his Calvary UMC family.
Survivors include his wife Sherry Hughes Haley, his daughter and son-in-law Liann and Jimmy Fuller of Radford, VA, granddaughters Aubrie and Emmy Fuller, his sisters, Vickie Haley of Christiansburg, Denise Haley of Blacksburg, and Linda Sites of Christiansburg, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Cliff and Mary Hughes, niece and nephew-in-law Ashley and Steve Strand, and great niece and nephew Emily Strand and Kyle Sites.
A celebration of life service will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church in Christiansburg, VA on Friday, October 27 at 3:00 p.m. Longtime friend and Pastor Sebert Rorrer will be officiating the service along with Pastor Mike Neuse. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.

Sherry and family. Heartfelt condolences to you and family. I’ve known Wayne since Sandlot baseball and there wasn’t a better man anywhere. Prayers for the family.

My condolences also. I was in the same grade with Wayne and saw him in 2018 at the 50th anniversary reunion. He was a good guy. I was wanting to have lunch with him sometime when I was back in Christiansburg. Maybe I’ll get to do that eventually.
