Hale, Ruby Wright

Ruby Lee Wright Frazier Hale passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family. Ruby was born on February 18, 1926, in Bland, Virginia. Ruby is preceded in death by husbands, Arnold Frazier and Phil Hale; mother, Nila Chandler Wright; father, John Bowman Wright; sisters, Clara Williams, Mae Blankenship, Anne Pfeiffer, Minnie Williams, Della Ruth Wright, Ina Ramsey, Edna Vaught and brother, Albert Wright. Ruby is survived by sister-in-law Thelma Wright of Narrows and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby spent thirty two years working at Celanese, was an avid bowler, and attended the First Church of God in Rich Creek. She will be missed by special devoted caretakers: nephew, Tommy Vaught and great niece, Melanie Reynolds of Narrows; niece, Cheryl Robertson of Knoxville, Tennessee and Sharon Wills of Rich Creek. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. in Riffe’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bernice Warner of First Church of God in Rich Creek officiating. Burial will follow in Bland County at the Shiloh Cemetery.
