Rhonda Jean Hale, 46, of Blacksburg, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at her home. She was born in Radford, Va. on March 18, 1960.

Rhonda was a member of the Slusser Chapel Church of God. She was a graduate of Blacksburg High school class of 1979.

She is survived by her fiance, Ronland Lester, of Belsprings, Va.; parents, Gene A. and Charlotte W. Hale, of Blacksburg, Va.; two sisters and brother-in-law, Terri Lynn Hale and fiance, Jim McDaniel, of Pembroke, Va., Robin Renee and Greg McCoy, of McCoy, Va.; brother, Ricky D. Hale and fiance, Shanna M. Bentley, of Blacksburg, Va.; niece, Danielle Renee Hurt and her husband, Russell, of McCoy, Va.; best friend, Denise Howard, of Atlanta, Ga.; special friends and family, Shirley Hale and Betty Whitlock; special aunt, Kathleen Grubb; uncles and aunts, Bud and Becky Hale, of Pelham, N.C., Marie and Lawrence Ward, of Carlyle, Ill.; special friends from work; and numerous cousins.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Harry McCoy and Staff, Nurses on the second floor at Montgomery Regional Hospital, the Cancer Center in Pulaski, and Carilion New River Valley Hospice for all their special care during Rhonda’s illness.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 9, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. James O. Flaugher, the Rev. Richard Gilbert, and the Rev. Rador Vaden officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.

Flowers will be appreciated but memorial contributions may be made in Rhonda’s name to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, Va. 24018.

Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Thursday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.
