mem-candleRebecca Perdue Hale, 67 of Narrows went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on May 22nd, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Madeline Hare Perdue. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Woodrum Hale. A retired employee of Celanese Acetate in Narrows, Becky was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She loved digging for gems, watching QVC, and relaxing on her front porch while spending time with her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Cindy Hale Thorne of Riner, Virginia, Kim Hale Powell of Pembroke, and Karen Hale Thorne of Narrows; five grandchildren, Ashley Hagerman of Crab Orchard, West Virginia, Ozzie Price of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Rebecca Price of Pearisburg, Tyler Thorne of Pearisburg, Danni Thorne of Narrows; three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Abby, and Ashdon; two sisters, Edna Scott and husband Joseph of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Lois Grant and husband Ed of York, South Carolina; a special sister-in-law, Annetta Hale Byrd of Narrows; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 7th, 2013 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor Tony Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service Sunday from 6 to 8 PM.
