Hale, Jr., Robert Estil

Robert Estil Hale, Jr., 69, of Pembroke, VA, departed this life Saturday morning, February 16, 2019, at his home in the care of his loving family and hospice. Born in Pearisburg on January 16, 1950, he was a son of the late Robert Sr. and Mary Katherine Neice Hale.

He was a veteran of the US Navy, Vietnam Era, and retired from VPI as a baker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Karen Hale “Missy” and his son Robert Hale III “Robbie”.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Shirley Mabe Hale; his daughter and son-in-law Angela and James, Jr Collins; his grandchildren Harley Brugh (Zeke Snider), Marshall Brugh “Davidson”, Haileigh Osborne, and a special neice Lori Hale; his brothers and sisters-in-law Mark and Peggy Hale of Pembroke, Sherman and Beth Hale of Pearisburg, James Hale and Bonnie of Pembroke; his sisters Margie Dowdy (Charlie) of Pearisburg and Margaret Proco of Catawah.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 22, 2019 at 1:00 pm in The Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
