Hale, Gilbert Morris

Gilbert Morris Hale, 74, of Wytheville, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at his home. He was born in Montgomery County, VA on January 19, 1941 to the late Warren Gilbert and Gertrude Nunn Hale.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Dora Mae Reed. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Nester Hale; daughter and son-in-law, Leissa and Thomas Ratcliffe; two sons and daughters-in-law, Teddy and Barbara Dunford, Brian and Myra Dunford; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma and Ted Corn, Frances and Dave Burton; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Jubilee Baptist Church, 215 Breezy Estates, Max Meadows, VA with Rev. Kelly Marshall officiating. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
