Clarence Junior (Dunnie) Hale, 63, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was born in Hemphill, W.Va. on January 23, 1946, to the late Clarence and Bertha Hale.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Sara Broomfield, of Blacksburg; a special aunt and uncle, Jack and Virgie Marshall, of Loraine, Ohio; his mother-in-law, Alice Rose, of Blacksburg; three special cousins, Bill Price, of Riner, Bob Wilson, of Lake Havsu, Arizona, and Clarence Harrington, of Loraine, Ohio.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Linda Hale, of Christiansburg; two sons, Pete Hale and Clarence Dwayne Hale, both of Christiansburg; one daughter, Mary Colemen and Jeff Crosier, of Christiansburg; three grandchildren, Ashley Strawn, Casey Hale, Caitlyn Hale and their mother, Sandi Hale, all of Radford; special cousins, Willa Harrington, of Loraine, Ohio, Dee and Eddie Arroyo, of Lake Havsu, Arizona, Peggy and Roy Burlingame, of Florida, Sara and Elmer Shelor, of Christiansburg, Libby Wilson, of Lake Havsu, Arizona.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 19, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Hanks and the Rev. Larry Meador officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
